- How does 1stop4trades.com work?
We ask good local tradesmen to become members and ask them to try and get feedback from at least 3 jobs they have done recently so they have feedback straight away. This pretty much rules out the cowboys from the start as they know feedback of their work will be posted online so only good tradesmen who are proud of their work will want to join. Good businesses will generally get good feedback which will in turn give customers confidence to use them.
- Why do I need to leave my name and contact number to write feedback?
We want all feedback to genuine so we ask for some details in case we need to contact you about the review you have left. We don’t want rival businesses to be able to post bad feedback and also don’t want businesses to be able to write their own good feedback.
- How do I leave feedback?
You will need to fill out a short form so we have some of your details, we will not publish your email address or share any details. Once this has been done you can find the tradesman you want to review and use the 5 star rating on how you think they performed in the following areas, Reliability and timekeeping, Workmanship, Price and value for money, Tidiness and Overall satisfaction. Follow the guide on how you should score and there is also a comments box where we would like you to briefly give some feedback on your experience.
Leaving your details means we can contact you about your feedback to make sure it is genuine, false feedback good or bad are damaging and any business found involved with having false feedback made will be removed from our website.
- What if I am not happy with the work done by a 1stop4trades member?
You should always contact the tradesman directly if you are not happy with their work, if the issue cannot be resolved we would like you to contact us by emailing us so we can try to help resolve the issue, however 1stop4trades are not in any way liable for bad work being done, we are simply allowing customers to give feedback on tradesmen who are registered on this site. Bad tradesmen will be removed from this website and will not be allowed to rejoin in the future.
- There are other Trade comparison websites, why should we use 1stop4trades.com?
We are here to help customers find good local businesses in and around Lancashire, we try to make sure feedback is genuine and we don’t just post the good feedback like other trades websites. We feel we have a duty to provide honest information for customers to use to help them find good trades people.
- How do I become a member of 1stop4trades?
Simply fill out the online form where it says Membership and we will look at your details and activate your membership. Once this has been done you will be able to create your own profile page, post pictures and set up a link to your own website. If you have any questions feel free to email or call us and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We ask all new members to try and get customer feedback from at least 3 recent jobs so they have some information for customers to view.
- How does it work?
We want customers to be able to find good local trades people quickly and easily, we also want to promote good local businesses by giving them a voice from their customers. When you become a member you will be given feedback sheets from us to give to your customers, when you have completed the job ask them to fill this out, (which should only take a couple of minutes), seal it and send it back to us. In most cases it will be the tradesperson who sends this back to us to make sure the details get onto our website. Alternatively you can leave the feedback sheet with the customer and give them the option of leaving feedback online or posting it to us.
- How much does it cost to become a member?
There are different membership levels to suit your needs, you can list from £30 per year, there are more details on choosing a membership type and the differences once you register on our Membership page.
- What if I get a bad review?
If customers rate you with an overall score of 2 stars or less, we will investigate further by contacting the customer before it is posted on our site. We will contact you first to give you the chance to resolve any issues with your customers, if bad feedback cannot be resolved and we feel this is genuine we will post the review however you will also be able to post your comments underneath. Occasionally good businesses may get bad feedback, we hope that future customers will be able to see that this is a ‘one off’ and will take all of your feedback into account when deciding if they should use you.
- How do I update my profile?
Once you have become a member of 1stop4trades you can simply log in, and then update any details on your profile and add pictures of work you have done. If you have any problems contact us by email, message us on Facebook or give us a call and we will do our best to help.
- What if I need more feedback sheets?
Send us an email with your details and tell us how many you would like and we will post them to you, there will be a small charge to cover our costs.
